Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters: Review + Lots of Pics!

I love these lip butters! They are like a cross between a lipstick and a lip gloss which is perfect for me ! They are my go-to everyday lip colours.

I love how they glide onto my lips. The colour is sheer to medium and you can definitely build it. For the more sheer ones I use lip pencils to give it a more intense colour. For the rare times that I do use lipsticks I would use the lip butter over it to add shine. The colours against my skintone are pigmented enough to compliment it.

My most favourite thing about this product is how amazingly soft my lips feel during and after wearing it. The formula is made with mango, shea and coconut butters which are super hydrating for your lips! You definitely can't go wrong there. I like to wear it over those matte lipsticks that tend to dry out your lips , depending on the colour of course.

The only thing I don't like about the Revlon Lip Butters is that they don't last long on your lips. I expected that though because it is a lip butter and the product never claimed to be long lasting.

I have five of them and I do plan to purchase more. What do you think of these lip butters ? Leave a comment and let me know ! I'd love to hear from you :)

Here are the shades I own:-

Here are the colour swatches. The first picture was done without flash and the second with, just to give you an idea how they come across in different lighting.

Product Review : Suave's Moroccan Infusion Line

I have always wanted to use those Moroccanoil products because of the amazing things the argan oil  does to your hair. But of course they were more on the pricey side and being the thrifty person that I am I stayed away.

Cue the Suave Moroccan Infusion Line of products. They contain the highly sought after Moroccan argan oil in their line and they are so affordable! Of course I jumped at the opportunity to get them. Out of the line I purchased the Shine shampoo and conditioner system and the styling oil.

Before I give my opinions on them, let us educate ourselves on the benefits of argan oil for hair.
Argan oil :-
  1. Fortifies our hair
  2. Restores and add natural shine to hair
  3. Protects against from styling tools and UV damage
  4. Hydrates hair naturally
  5. Prevents breakage.
  6. Helps manage uncontrollable hair.
Hmm, no wonder people call this 'liquid gold' or 'miracle oil'. Having read the benefits let us get right into the review.

Shine Shampoo and Conditioner :-
I use them both according to the directions at the back of the bottles.

Pros
  • Shampoo gently cleanses my hair without drying it out
  • Conditioner leaves my hair soft, shiny and without frizz! ( without applying heat , simply air drying!)
  • Scalp feels healthier
  • Inexpensive
  • Split ends are gone gone gone!
  • Hair feels stronger
  • Hair stands up better when I apply heat to it. Healthier , shiny , professional results.
  • Pleasant smell
Cons
  • I really have nothing bad to say about this product! I love it !

Styling Oil
I use 2-3 drops of this oil in my hair before I wash it , also 2 drops after I style it with a flat iron . I focus the application of this oil from the middle of the hair to the ends. I leave out my roots because the natural oils do a good job of keeping that area soft .

Pros
  • Leaves an amazing shine to my hair.
  • Absolutely no frizz
  • My hair is soft  and very manageable
  • Smell is pleasant but not overpowering
  • In addition to argan oil, the Styling Oil contains sweet almond oil and hydrogenated coconut oil . Now these are all extremely nutritious oils for the health of your hair. So that's a definite added bonus.
  • It is not a heavy oil. It absorbs into my hair without weighing it down.
  • Inexpensive
Cons
  • Again , I have nothing bad to say about this product!

For far too long, I have been trying  a myriad of products to tame my long, thick , frizzy hair and I think I've finally found a line of products to stick with for a long time to come. Good job Suave!

What do you think of the Moroccan Infusion Line from Suave?  Please comment and let me know!

Have a fabulous day everyone!

My Go-To Hair Products

I wanted to share with you the various hair styling products that I use for my long , thick hair. I am of East Indian descent so I think that may help you to visualize the texture of my hair. In its natural state , I have lots of waves and an enormous amount of frizz! UGH!

Now a little disclaimer, this blog post is in no way sponsored by the companies that make these products.

Having said that , you will see that most of them are from Garnier. Their products really do agree with my hair. Most of my frizz are tamed after I apply their Sleek & Shine line of products which I'm thankful for.

The Aussie 3 Minute Miracle is probably one of my most favourite products because it leaves my hair totally soft, shiny and it smellls amazing! I use this right after I shampoo and condition.

This Redken Iron Silk 07 is amazing! I spritz it all over my hair right before I flat iron . It acts as a heat protectant and it aids with taming the frizz. My hair looks professionally done after I use this product. I did a complete review on this in a previous blog post . Here is the link for this review: http://stylewatchtnt.blogspot.com/2013/03/hair-product-review-redken-iron-silk-07.html

What are some of your go-to hair products ? Please leave a comment and let me know .

Have a great day everyone!

Hair Product Review : REDKEN Iron Silk 07

I have recently become addicted to watching beauty videos on You Tube. They are just so incredibly informative and has definitely helped me make better decisions with my beauty routine and when purchasing beauty products.

So before these videos I have NOT been using a heat protectant on my hair before flat ironing ! I know right!  All the heat damage my hair has incurred throughout the years! Sigh....

Upon realizing this and that all I really need to do was use a heat protectant before applying heat to my hair I purchased one almost immediatetly.

I got the Redken Iron Silk 07. At the back of the bottle it said , and I quote 'Get amazing results from your flat iron. Fight frizz and seal in lasting shiny smoothness with this humidity-resistant, thermal-protective spray.'
Did it deliver ? Absolutely!

My hair is very thick ,really frizzy and wavy in its natural state . I spray my hair especially the ends with the product and let it dry onto it for about 2-3mins. Then using my Conair flat iron I straightened my hair the usual way . The results are amazing. My hair looks really shiny and it feels very soft.

I have also used this product before I curled my hair . It works just as well.

The only negative thing I have to say about it is the smell ! Hmm how do I describe this. The scent is like a crisp cologne. I know this may appeal to some but not to me. Having said that , the quality and results of the product far outweighs the one negative thing. I will definitely repurchase.

Have you all used this product before ? Tell me about your experience.
